Productive Sewing Day

yes, it was ....started with cutting 16 Pillow Cases, then while watching a program, I made my Tootsie rolls, ....ready....set....go...and VOLA...done. But then these are very simple, easy and quick gifts.

next item on my list was some Throw Pillows, these are simple ones too. Of course if you start early in the morning, you really should make sure that you have all the JAVA your grey cells need, before starting ...lolololol...I miss calculated the sides and so I had to re-cut them ....my scrap ladies will love me this time around.

After a short break, having something to eat and drink, need to refuel these grey cells...lololol...then I continued making the Table Topper

this was a productive day.......
Hope that I can put some more days like this in, getting some of the planned gifts done.

THE END.........................

.................or NOT, that's the question.

Even though I have to admit, that I did go over the budget, my $25.00 a week hope due to some bulk items that were really low and/or I was out. I didn't count the bag of powdered milk, since I had the cash for it, plus this was already in plans for Dec. and had to wait for the person to be at the location for pick-up. The one that I counted in was the potatoes, which I buy from a local grower, sold in 50lbs boxes and 2 came home with me. But over-all I did very well and was way below of what I would spend while try to buy items to stock pile. So far my freezer, refrigerator, pantry and such were well stock and no problems with making meals. Now I admit, I do cook from scratch most of the time, my quickie meals consist of a bake potato with chili and cheese(can chili if no left-over from the homemade one), Alfredo sauce plain or with meat/sea food addition, stir fry with rice, wraps, soup with grilled cheese sandwich and such.
I admire some of you Menu Planners, how are most of you menu planners stay on course with that...? I can't even do the weekly, since on a dime, dinner will change from a planned one to a quickie.

3 more days and the Eating Out Of The Pantry Challenge comes to an end but I will continue with it, with a little tighten on the belt of going shopping. Will try only to enter the stores if I absolutely need to, all simple items needed, like milk, bread, eggs and such, will be picked-up by anyone else but me...lol...only will give the order ...;-]]]]]]...

On the front of resolutions and personal challenges

Still will have a veggie garden on the list, went to the yard, made the plans, called for some prices, still need to get some other prices but I am on track on that.

Have some seeds already but need to get some more ...would like to have some herbs in planters, to have fresh herbs through the year.

Yard needs some work which will be done as soon as the freezing stops. Most of it will be quick.

My catch-all boxes have been reduced to about 3 and still going strong, even though while cleaning, will re-fill some of them again...which is OK, get them empty again.

Made a big mess in the all-purpose room, thought of moving one of the shelf unit, well....after almost 16 years it gave out and broke...mmhh, now I will have to work on that earlier than I wanted...life hands you lemons, make lemonade...guess that's my hint to get going...lol...
